Please note that most domestic houses will require a single phase supply which is smaller, charging at 3.7kw or 7kw. With a 7kw charging point, a typical electric car can take just under 8 hours to charge from empty-to-full. In order to charge your Vehicle with a three phase supply, which is a significantly higher rate (11kw or 22kw) your property will need to have three connectors. This is more expensive, but can provide 60-200 miles of range in 20-30 minutes.

EV charger installation FAQs
How much does EV charger installation cost?
It depends on the charger you choose and the installation: the length of the cable run from your consumer unit to where you park, whether the board has room for a new circuit, and how the charger is earthed. The installation is included in the price we quote, and every charger we supply comes with a 5-year warranty.
How long does EV charger installation take?
A typical home installation takes around three hours, depending on how complex it is. It helps if someone is home so we can agree exactly where the charger goes, usually on an outside wall where you park.
How long does it take to charge an electric car at home?
It depends on the car's battery size and the charger's power rating. A typical electric car takes around eight hours from empty to full on a 7kW home charger. A car can only charge at its own maximum rate, so a faster charge point won't help if the car can't accept it.
Which chargers do you install?
Zappi, Ohme, Easee and Pod Point among others, as well as the Project EV 7.3kW range. Most can be controlled from an app over wifi, so you can schedule charging on off-peak tariffs.
Do you install charge points for businesses?
Yes. We install charge points for workplaces, car parks and fleet yards, with the load assessed and the cabling sized for the bays you'll add later.

Yes. We're a NICEIC approved contractor, BPEC certified and City & Guilds registered, and we carry £5m public liability insurance. Copies of our policies come with any quote on request.
