Compliance first. Then solar, battery and charging.

Three services lead the work. Installations and repairs support them, and no job is too small.

    Certified, tested, signed off.

Landlord EICRs, fixed wire testing and emergency lighting checks across Swindon and Wiltshire. We test the installation, tell you plainly what needs doing, and issue the certificate you can hand straight to an insurer or a letting agent.

Generate it, store it, use it.

Solar PV and battery systems for commercial roofs and homes, specified around how the building actually uses power. We survey, size the system honestly, install it, and certify the lot. No inflated payback figures.

Charging that's ready for the whole fleet.

Charge points for workplaces, car parks and fleet yards. Load assessed, cabling sized for the bays you'll add later, and every unit tested and certified on handover. Home installs too.

Landlords, businesses and homeowners. One standard.

Much of our week is compliance work for landlords and site managers, and that discipline shapes every job we do. Records kept, certificates issued, dates honoured. Whether it's a portfolio of flats or a single socket, you get the same electrician and the same standard.

    Landlords & letting agents
EICR reports across a portfolio, on time, with certificates filed. Dates agreed up front and repeat testing scheduled by the week, not the visit.
    Facilities & site managers
Compliance signed off without disrupting the operation. Minimal downtime, one accredited point of contact, everything documented.
    Businesses going electric
Solar, battery and fleet charging that stacks up. You get the specification, the payback and the future-proofing in plain figures.
    Homeowners
Someone trustworthy in the house. Tidy, certified, and no job too small. A single socket is still a job worth doing properly.

    Twenty years in Swindon
Junab on why he started the firm here, and why he still runs it from here.

    Twenty years of Swindon's wiring.

J's Electrical Swindon Ltd has spent more than twenty years working on the town's homes, shops, offices and industrial units. Junab Ali started the firm here and still runs it here. The same roads, the same clients, often the same buildings a decade on.

That length of service is the point. When a landlord needs a portfolio tested, or a site needs charge points that will still be right in five years, they are buying judgement as much as labour. Ours was earned locally.

Junab has also served the town beyond the trade, including as Mayor of Swindon. We mention it once, here, and let the work speak after that.

The places that made the town, and the firm.

    Six things we don't skip.

The unglamorous parts that separate a good electrician from one you call again.

    Certified, not claimed.

NICEIC approved, BPEC certified, City & Guilds registered. Every job ends in paperwork you can hand to an insurer.

    We label every breaker.

Sounds small. It isn't. It's the difference between a job that's finished and a job that's been left.

    You talk to the electrician.

The voice on the phone is the one in your loft. No call centre, no project handler, no chasing.

    Explained plainly.

We say what we found, what it costs and what happens next, in language a facilities manager and a homeowner both follow.

    Quoted, not estimated.

What we said it would cost is what it costs. No "we found something" on the day.

    Clean exit.

Floorboards back, dust sheets folded, and the certificate in your inbox before we've left the street.

    Swindon, in its own words.

The questions we get asked most.

And a few that come up often enough that they may as well be here.

We respond to enquiries as quickly as we can. When we can book routine work depends on our workload and what the job needs. For genuinely urgent problems, such as power loss, circuits that keep tripping or anything that looks unsafe, we offer urgent call-outs where possible. Phone us and we'll be honest about when we can get to you.

We provide quotations for planned work. If we need to visit the site solely to quote, we'll confirm in advance whether that visit is free. Diagnostic visits, fault-finding and call-outs are chargeable, and we explain any fees clearly.

Yes. Call-outs, diagnostic visits and fault-finding are chargeable, and all applicable fees are explained clearly.

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Urgent call-outs for electrical faults, power loss, tripping circuits and other potentially unsafe issues are available where possible.

We're based at 30 Commercial Road in Swindon and work across the town, including Old Town, Stratton and Wroughton, as well as Royal Wootton Bassett, Cirencester, Chippenham and Calne.

Inspection and testing keep your electrical installation safe. It uncovers latent faults that, left alone, can cause fires, shocks and equipment damage. Regular reports also prevent unexpected breakdowns and the costlier repairs that follow them.

Owner-occupied homes: at least every 10 years. Rented dwellings: every 5 years. Commercial premises: every 5 years, industrial every 3. Specialist installations such as pools, agricultural buildings and marinas need shorter cycles. We'll tell you straight which band you're in.

You receive an EICR, an Electrical Installation Condition Report. It records the condition of every circuit, classified C1, C2, C3 or FI. If anything is flagged, you get a quoted remedial plan with it. Plain English, no surprises.

£5m public liability, full professional indemnity, and the certifications to back it. Copies of all policies are issued with every quote on request.
